I believe therapy should provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences while reconnecting with the values, goals, and relationships that align with their true, authentic selves. Change can be both frightening and uncomfortable, and I deeply respect the strength it takes to lean into that discomfort on your healing journey.
My path to becoming a Registered Psychotherapist began in high school, where I discovered my passion for helping others—though I wasn’t sure what that would look like at the time. I pursued my studies at the University of Guelph, earning a degree in Psychology and Sociology, and later trained at the Ontario Psychotherapy and Counselling College. My focus gravitated toward understanding how children, youth, and young adults experience anxiety, as well as how attachment styles shape relationships with both self and others. During the pandemic, I furthered my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My approach to therapy is client-centered and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to share their story with someone who offers empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I work from a collaborative, strengths-based perspective, meaning I see each client as the expert in their own life. My role is to bring curiosity, helping you recognize the skills, talents, and resources you already carry while making sense of your experiences. My work is also informed by systemic, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive frameworks, allowing us to explore how relationships, societal systems, and personal narratives impact your well-being. And because I believe healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time, I highly value humor as a therapeutic tool.
I work with individuals, young adults, and teenagers from diverse backgrounds navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety and stress, grief and loss, depression, life transitions, relationship conflicts, chronic illness, self-esteem, confidence, intimacy, and sexuality.
As a therapist, I have come to understand that compassion—for both ourselves and others—is a powerful tool in shaping the life we want, especially in times of uncertainty. I firmly believe that we all deserve rest, relaxation, and happiness—not as something we must earn, but as a fundamental part of our well-being.
